While it is good thing to be a shoulder for people to cry on, listen to their problems, and give them the trust they need, it can have a bad effect on your own mental health. Have you ever felt extremely exhausted like you will fall asleep the moment you hit the bed, after you listen to your friend’s problems? That means that you are emotionally drained. Sometimes you can even stop feeling empathetic to their issues because you have heard them so many times. Here are some signs rhat can tell you are emotionally exhausted.
1. Constant fatigue
Feeling perpetually tired, even after getting enough sleep, is a common indicator of emotional exhaustion. This persistent fatigue extends beyond physical tiredness and often leaves you feeling drained and unable to perform daily activities with the same level of energy.
2. Increased irritability
Emotional exhaustion can also manifest as increased irritability and difficulty in managing your emotions. You might find yourself snapping at others, experiencing frequent mood swings or struggling to control your temper in situations that would normally not need such strong reactions.
