In a conversation, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu shed light on what she eats and how it impacts her overall well-being. Taapsee is known for her roles in films such as Badla and Thappad and has revealed how her diet keeps on changing based on her shooting locations, weather conditions, and the demands of her roles. She also mentioned that her monthly investment in a dietician costs her over a lakh rupees annually. But following a specific diet during shoots, as per weather and age makes her feel more happy and healthy.
“I believe that a personalized diet plan is essential for not only looking my best but also feeling my best,” she said. “My diet changes according to my roles, the location of the shoots, and even the weather. Each of these factors plays a significant role in determining what my body needs at any given time.”
Tapsee’s diet is not static. It evolves in response to her film roles and the specific requirements of her shoots. For instance, when preparing for a physically demanding role, she follows a high-protein diet to build muscle and stamina. However, if her role requires her to maintain a lean physique, her diet will focus more on low-fat, high-fibre foods.
“During shoots in colder locations, my diet includes more warming foods like soups and stews, which help maintain my body’s core temperature,” she said. “In contrast, during shoots in hot climates, I focus on hydrating foods like fruits and salads to keep my body cool and well-hydrated.”
How Does Weather Impacts Nutrition?
Weather plays a crucial role in Taapsee’s dietary choices. It is essential to have specific foods in specific months as seasonal changes affect the types of foods one should consume. For instance, during the winter months, she incorporates foods rich in vitamins and minerals to boost her immune system. Foods such as root vegetables, nuts, and whole grains are staples in her winter diet.
In the summer, her diet includes more hydration and cooling foods. “In the heat, I increase my intake of water-rich fruits like watermelon and cucumber.
The Haseen Dilruba actress also mentioned in a media interaction that the dietician provides tailored advice on what foods are most beneficial at different stages of life. For instance, in her 30s, Taapsee focuses on foods that support bone health and manage stress levels, such as leafy greens and omega-3-rich fish.
